Ms. Erin Michelle Threlfall, J3T Classroom Teacher
Originally from the US, like many of our children, I consider myself to be a citizen of the world. My family was rather nomadic, moving every two to three years with my father's company, and it is fair to say that I have kept up the family tradition! So far, I have called 6 states and 9 countries home. I have lived in Germany, Italy, Thailand, Japan, Ghana, Togo, South Korea, and Indonesia. In addition to being a teacher to your little ones, I am also the mother to Edem who is in J2 here at UNIS.
Educated in US Universities, I hold an associates degree in Peace and Conflict studies, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, and a Masters degree in Education with a focus on Literacy and Curriculum Development. I have been a classroom teacher for 16 years, worked professionally in the theatre industry, and am the founder of Happiness 101. In addition to teaching children, I also lead professional development for teachers.
Outside of the classroom, I am a published writer contributing to World Mom's Blog and the Huffington Post. Yoga keeps me balanced, Edem keeps me busy, and cooking meals to share with friends keeps me happy. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such wonderful children here at United Nations International School, and look forward to collaborating with parents for optimal student learning.
